Big day out promoters lose their bid to restrain fans who have tickets from reselling them. Big Day Out unsuccessfully tried to block fans and brokers from reselling their tickets.
The Federal Court ruled that promoter Creative Festival Entertainment engaged in misleading and deceptive conduct by stating that every ticket resold for a profit would be cancelled. Federal Judge Steven Rares ordered Creative Festival Entertainment to pay for eBay’s legal costs.
