Alice Cooper and Queensryche Join Heaven and Hell Tour
TicketNews.com
Shock rocker Alice Cooper and Queensryche will be joining the Heaven and Hell tour, beginning in September.
Heaven and Hell is a music collaboration featuring current Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, along with former members Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice.
Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice will reunite for the first time in 15 years as Heaven and Hell Live to cast a dark spell over spring as the quartet tours the U.S.
Last year, the hard-rocking quartet convened to record three new songs for Rhino Records’ era-spanning collection, Black Sabbath: The Dio Years. One of the newly recorded tracks – “The Devil Cried” – is the first single. Bristling with the trademark Sabbath sound, the song is being well received by fans and critics alike.

The sessions for Black Sabbath: The Dio Years went so well that the band agreed to satisfy longstanding demands for a reunion tour. Set to launch in Canada on March 11, the Heaven And Hell World Tour will spotlight Dio’s tenure with Sabbath and will feature selections from all three of the group’s the studio albums, Heaven And Hell (1980), Mob Rules (1981) and Dehumanizer (1992), as well as the newly recorded tracks.
The reunion has been arranged to be a 2007 only one. In 2008 Ozzy Osbourne will be working with Black Sabbath, possibly on a new album. Dio has announced he has two more albums he has to release with his Dio band before any further work with Black Sabbath can happen (though he has also said another Black Sabbath album with him on vocals is not impossible since he gets on so well with the rest of the Heaven and Hell band’s lineup).
