John Mayer, Rascal Flatts in week’s onsales
Concerts from pop/rock artist John Mayer and Country superstars Rascal Flatts top the onsales for the week ending April 19, as compiled by TicketNews.
Mayer has more than fifteen shows from his upcoming national tour on sale beginning Saturday morning. Joining Mayer with tickets on sale Saturday is the rock concert Cru Fest, to be held in California, which features multiple artists including Motley Crue and Papa Roach. Country artists Rascal Flatts also have multiple concert dates on sale beginning Saturday morning.
On Friday, multiple tour stops on the joint tour of Robert Plant and Allison Krauss go on sale. Dates available include stops in Nashville and Philadelphia. Comedians Bill Maher and George Lopez each have a stand-up show on sale Friday morning as well.
This week also has numerous sporting events on sale. NHL playoff tickets for both the San Jose Sharks and Washington Capitals are on sale, and in the NBA, the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are looking to rebound after last year’s disappointing sweep in the NBA finals, also have tickets on sale. Tickets for the June 28 boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and David Diaz are on sale Saturday, with Pacquiao the heavy favorite.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
