Disney Music Block Party on tour
Buena Vista Concerts and AEG Live are sending the Disney Music Block Party tour out on a 23-date North American tour beginning July 25 in Toms River, NJ, and continuing through August 24 in Uniondale, NY.
Sponsored by Playskool and the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), the tour provides a concert festival experience for kids and their families and features They Might Be Giants, Imagination Movers, Barenaked Ladies, Dan Zanes, Ralph’s World and Choo Choo Soul in select markets, plus special guest host Raven-Symone. Specific details of the artist line-ups by city are available on the tour website.
Families can spend the afternoon exploring the festival grounds with activity zones where kids can try out the latest toys at Playskool’s Play Experience area, make their own music at NAMM’s Wanna Play? Musical Instrument area, or move and shake on the dance floor. In addition, they can play games and watch Playhouse Disney programming in the Playhouse Disney tent.
Tickets for all dates go on sale May 30 via the tour’s website or at Ticketmaster outlets.
Raven-Symone’s 55-city Pajama Party Tour, also produced by AEG Live and scheduled to run from April into July, was canceled in April “due to unforeseen circumstances,” according to a press release.
