Madonna tickets sell at a hot pace

Ticket sales for Madonna’s highly anticipated Sticky & Sweet Tour continue to explode throughout Europe and North America, according to TicketNews’s exclusive event rankings and Live Nation, the tour’s producer. with second shows added to record selling sellouts.

Demand for tickets has led to the addition of several shows, and in Paris interest in the singer’s September 20 show was so overwhelming with 80,000 tickets going clean that a second and show was added for September 21. Instant sellouts in Toronto at Air Canada Centre on October 18 and in Montreal at the Bell Centre on October 22, resulted in second shows in both markets — October 19 in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre and October 23 at Montreal’s Bell Centre. Madonna’s August 30 Zurich show at the Military Airfield Dubendorf sold out with 70,000 tickets.

These new sellouts join a list of sellouts that already include three sold out Madison Square Garden shows in New York City on October 6, 7 and 11 and sellouts in Boston and Chicago. Demand for the Chicago show led to the addition of a second show, scheduled for October 27, at the United Center for which tickets will go on sale June 2. Additional Madonna shows on sale this weekend include: Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, Miami, Las Vegas, Denver, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Atlantic City. The Philadelphia show was moved from November 19 to November 20.

Madonna plans to perform in Mexico and South America later this year.
