Jagermeister Music Tour plots fall dates with Hinder, Trapt
The hard rock Jagermeister Music Tour is set to kick off at the end of October with headlining acts Hinder and Trapt, with Rev Theory supporting. The trek kicks off October 24 at the Great Saltair in Magna, UT, and has dates booked through a November 26 performance at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK, according to Hinder’s Web site.
The trek is the fall edition of the biannual Jagermeister Music Tour, which featured Hatebreed, Type O Negative, and 3 Inches of Blood for the spring 2008 jaunt. Stops along the way include an October 30 performance at the Pearl Theatre at Palms Casino in Las Vegas, NV, and a November 16 gig at the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ.
The music tour kicked off in 2002 with a single trek featuring Drowning Pool and Coal Chamber, later adopting the double-tour format in 2003. In the years since its inception, the tour has headlined with the likes of Slayer (fall ’03 and ’04), Slipknot (spring ’04), Disturbed (fall ’05), Staind (spring ’06) and The Cult (fall ’07).
Hinder is touring in support of the band’s second studio album, “Take It to the Limit,” which is slated for a November 4 release. The record is a follow-up to the 2006 triple-platinum debut “Extreme Behavior.” The band debuted some of their new tracks over the summer while supporting 3 Doors Down and Staind on tour.
Trapt joins the tour fresh off a summer stint with Mötley Crüe’s Crüe Fest and a headlining tour in September. The quartet released their third studio album, “Only Through the Pain,” on August 5.
