Six-city comedy tribute to Mitch Hedberg announced
Mitch Across America: One Nation Under Gosh is a series of live comedy shows occurring simultaneously in clubs across the country, all in celebration of the late Mitch Hedberg and his long awaited third comedy album, “Do You Believe In Gosh?”
The nation-wide six-city event will occur on September 9, the date the album is officially released to the public.
Recorded two months prior to his death at age 37 in 2005, the album contains nearly 40 minutes of previously unreleased stand-up material. The CD captures most of the material Hedberg was working on for what would have been his next full-length album in a free-form show with a large amount of audience interaction. The album pulses with Hedberg’s inimitable wit and spirit and is a document of a comedy master, known for his conventional comedic delivery.
A variety of comedians will share the mic during the one-night event. The face value of tickets ranges from less than $6 to more than $15, with some clubs imposing a two ticket minimum for purchases.
