Staind tour continues the ‘Illusion of Progress’ with Seether, Papa Roach

With more than 40 U.S. and world dates completed this year, hard rockers Staind have announced plans to bring the music back to the States in October. The new headlining run begins October 4 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, and continues through December with a show at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Green Bay, WI.

Before launching the trek, Staind will perform an October 3 solo show at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY. The Springfield, MA-based band will be joined by Seether and Papa Roach, who will provide support for the remaining itinerary dates except November 12 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT, and November 14 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA, when only Papa Roach will appear.

Christian heavy metal band Red will play opening sets for select dates in October.

“We’re a band that spends a lot of time on the road, and those you surround yourself with have a lot to do with the fun you have on a day-by-day basis out on tour,” Seether vocalist/guitarist Shaun Morgan said in a statement. “We’ve been hoping to tour with the Staind guys for a long time, so we’re all looking forward to it.”

Papa Roach added to the statement, “We can’t wait to annihilate these crowds on a nightly basis. Plus the opening band Red rocks. It’s gonna be a good show from beginning to end.”

Beginning yesterday, September 24, members of Staind’s fan club could purchase presale tickets for all concerts from November 25 through December 4. VIP packages, which include passes for a Meet and Greet with the band, are also available on a first come, first served basis.

Staind is touring in support of their sixth studio album, “The Illusion of Progress,” which was released on August 19. The record debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, making it the band’s fourth consecutive album to place in the top three. The three previous releases all secured No. 1 debut positions on the charts.

Aaron Lewis, Staind’s lead singer, will kick off the New Year with two solo performances: January 2 at the Green Valley Resort and Spa in Hendersonville, NV, and January 3 at the Alliante Casino in North Las Vegas, NV. The band will then reunite with Seether for a stretch of European dates in late January and February.
