Secondhand Serenade tour adds ‘Twist’ to 2009 with new dates
Singer-songwriter John Vesely, who performs under the solo project name Secondhand Serenade, will tour North America again in 2009. The new headlining trek kicks off January 16 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV, and wraps a little more than three weeks later on February 8 at Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT.
The 18-date coast-to-coast run features a January 21 concert at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, WA, and a February 6 gig at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, RI. The outing also includes five performances in Canada, from a January 20 gig at the Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver, BC, through a February 3 set at The Mod Club Theatre in Toronto, ON.
General onsale dates for the trek vary depending on the venue, and tickets for a handful of nights are already available. Support on select dates will come from Meg & Dia, The White Tie Affair, Rookie of the Year, and Everlea.
A deluxe edition of Secondhand Serenade‘s sophomore release, “A Twist In My Story,” will be reissued on February 3, 2009. The expanded version will include additional tracks, music videos, and a full-length DVD with behind-the-scenes footage.
Originally released in February 22, “A Twist In My Story,” peaked at No. 44 on the Billboard 200. The first single “Fall For You” hit No. 8 on the Pop 100 and No. 21 on the Hot 100 charts, and was RIAA-certified Platinum on November 18.
Secondhand Serenade recently completed two headlining tours this fall. The first tour kicked off September 18, and the second just wrapped on December 10 at The Pavilion in Corpus Christi, TX.
