Last chance for Super Bowl XLIII and AC/DC tickets
Super Bowl XLIII is one of the major events with ticket sales closing during the week ending February 2, as compiled by TicketNews.
Sports fans still hoping to watch live as the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers face off in the NFL’s biggest event still have time to grab a ticket to the February 1 showdown at Raymond James Stadium in Miami, FL. It’s not too late in the game to check out the various package deals that are also available for VIP access, hotel rooms, transportation, parking and more.
Two of the biggest tours of the 2008-2009 season are closing out their North American dates over the weekend. AC/DC will perform the last of its fast-selling U.S. dates for the Black Ice World Tour on January 31 at the Sommet Center in Nashville, TN, before the classic rock crew heads overseas for an extensive European outing with more than 40 concerts. The tour, which launched in late October, is expected to last a full 18 months with additional international dates in South America and Asia to be announced.
Metallica has also been a hot ticket since the heavy metal group announced the release of “Death Magnetic” and the subsequent tour over the summer. The extensive North American outing closes out with a January 31 and February 1 two-night stand at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Several other popular recording artists have final concerts and special performances booked for the coming week. Hot southern rock band Kings of Leon will perform tonight (January 27) at the Lifestyles Communities Pavilion in Columbus, OH, before closing out its itinerary with a January 29 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. Meanwhile, rising rap icon Lil’ Wayne is concluding the current leg of his I Am Music Tour on January 28 at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ. He’s expected to roll out more dates later this year, though, for fans who can’t catch him this week.
“Last Chance” information is compiled at the beginning of the week, based on touring acts whose current itineraries are closing over the course of that week. The availability of tickets for Last Chance events depends on primary and secondary seller inventory, and may vary as tickets are sold in the days leading up to each event.
