The Moody Blues tour charts limited West Coast concerts
Classic rock group The Moody Blues will head to the States this spring for a recently announced tour of the West Coast. The nine-show jaunt will pick up March 27 at Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, CA, and end April 7 at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, CA.
Highlights for the trek include a March 31 concert at Rabobank Theatre in Bakersfield, CA, an April 1 show at Star of the Desert Arena in Primm, NV, and an April 4 performance at Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno, NV.
Though the Moody Blues’s current itinerary is limited to the West Coast run, the band’s members expect to have a busy year on the road. “At the moment the coming year seems like it will be another crazy touring whirl with a few different projects in the mix,” said vocalist and guitarist Justin Hayward in a statement on his Web site.
The touring lineup will feature longtime Moody members Justin Hayward (guitar, vocals), John Lodge (bass, vocals) and Graeme Edge (drums). The group formed in the mid-1960s and gained critical and commercial success with the 1967 release “Days of Future Passed,” the symphonic rock album featuring the popular single “Nights in White satin.”
