Chicago Cubs, Eric Clapton tickets on sale this week
Tickets to upcoming concerts from Eric Clapton as well as tickets for the 2009 Chicago Cubs season are on sale throughout the week ending February 21 as compiled by Ticket News.
The week’s onsales begin with tickets for several of country superstar Kenny Chesney’s upcoming concerts, including stops in Louisville and Toronto. The onsales continue Friday with tickets to Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson’s upcoming national tour. Hudson will be going on tour with R&B crooner Robin Thicke, and the shows on sale Friday include a stop in South Carolina.
Friday’s onsales also include tickets to see The Dead in concert in Chicago and Washington. In the latter concert, the band will be joined by the Allman Brothers and Doobie Brothers. R&B singer Seal has concerts on sale Friday as well, including stops in Boston and Albuquerque. Also on sale Friday are single game tickets for the Chicago Cubs’ 2009 season, as the team looks to end their championship drought after more than 100 years.
Saturday’s onsales start off with tickets to upcoming concerts from Coldplay. The British rockers will be playing shows in Tampa, Texas, and California. Country star Keith Urban has a concert in Cleveland in the onsales as well. Gavin DeGraw has a concert in Portland on sale Saturday morning, while Jerry Seinfeld has a stand-up appearance in Baton Rouge on sale too. Rounding out the week’s onsales are tickets to catch music legend Eric Clapton on his national tour. Dates on sale Saturday include stops in Dallas and Columbus.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
