Jagermeister Music Tour taps Pennywise, Pepper as headliners

Entering its seven year, the Jagermeister Music Tour has announced punk rock band Pennywise and rock-reggae crew Pepper as the headliners for its spring tour. The trek kicks off April 13 at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, WA, and closes May 23 at Myth in St. Paul, MN.

The tour will hit 25 cities across the country, including an April 17 concert at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, CO, an April 27 show at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA, a May 13 performance at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, a May 16 event at Terminal 5 in New York, NY, and a May 21 session at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL.

Tickets for most of the tour have face values priced around $25. Public onsales begin on February 18 for select dates of the tour, with more onsales following over the course of the week.

Pennywise is touring behind the band’s March 2008 album “Reason to Believe.” It is the ninth studio effort for the group, which formed in the late 1980s and released its eponymous debut in 1991. Pepper is continuing to promote its July 2008 release “Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations,” the fifth record for the band.

Since its inaugural run in 2002, the Jagermeister Music Tour has featured hard rock, heavy metal and punk bands during two annual tours in spring and fall. The fall 2008 tour featured Hinder and Trapt as co-headliners.

The Jagermeister brand has been a strong supporter of musicians over the years, providing sponsorships and touring opportunities. Recently the company unveiled its first ever Jagermeister Country Music Tour, featuring Pat Green and Randy Houser.
