Last chance for Elton John’s Red Piano, NHL quarterfinals tickets

Ticketing closes for several large events, such as Elton John’s residency in Las Vegas, throughout the week ending April 27, as compiled by TicketNews.

After a five-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, rock pianist Elton John is ending his lengthy stay in Sin City. The multimedia performance called “The Red Piano” will take the stage for final performances tonight (April 21) and tomorrow night (April 22). John, meanwhile, will continue his co-headline tour with fellow pianist Billy Joel on May 2 at Fargodome in Fargo, ND.

The top teams in the NHL face off this week in a series of Conference Quarterfinals. The Montreal Canadiens defend the ice at the Bell Centre in Montreal against the Boston Bruins on April 22. If necessary, the teams will head back to Boston for another showdown on April 25 at the TD Banknorth Garden. Meanwhile, the New York Rangers hit the rink at Madison Square Garden on April 22 against the Washington Capitals, with another game on April 24 at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Other quarterfinal teams include the Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings.

A number of national concert tours and special events are also closing out the week. Secondhand Serenade is closing out the week on tour with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. The two bands take the stage again tonight, April 21, at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL, and close out the tour on April 26 at the SUNY campus in Oswego, NY. Musician Lou Reed has two special performances coming up this week backed by Metal Machine Trio on April 23-24 at Blender Theatre at Gramercy in New York, NY. Also, rapper 50 Cent has been appearing as a special guest on tour with Fall Out Boy, but that partnership comes to an end with a final concert on April 25 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.
