Last chance for Bruce Springsteen, Flight of the Conchords tickets

Bruce Springsteen, Flight of the Conchords and Jennifer Hudson are just some of the big name acts with North American ticket sales closing during the week ending May 25, as compiled by TicketNews.

Having launched the first leg of their North American tour early in April, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are now in the final stages of their spring tour. The Boss and his famed backing band take the stage tonight (May 19) at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. This weekend, the iconic American rocker will perform a two-night stand for his hometown crowd on May 21 and 23 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ. After the Memorial Day weekend performances, Springsteen and his crew will head over to Europe for a two-month summer jaunt.

Quasi-fictional band Flight of the Conchords, comprised of comedic duo Bret McKenzie and Jermaine Clement, is on the tail end of its North American concert tour with just seven performances left on the books. The pair, based out of New Zealand, has been performing songs from their HBO television series repertoire across the nation since the tour launched in early April. The outing continues tonight (May 19) at Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, and closes with two evening shows on May 25 at Berkeley Community Theatre in Berkeley, CA.

R&B vocalists Jennifer Hudson & Robin Thicke are coming to the end of their two-month co-headlining tour. The final performance is scheduled for May 21 at Nokia Live in grand Prairie, TX, following a show tonight (May 19) at Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA. Both shows are rescheduled from earlier concert dates that were postponed due to a vocal chord strain suffered by Hudson.

Meanwhile, indie rock darlings The Shins have just two performances left on their brief spring tour, which continues May 20 at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA, and concludes May 21 at Terminal 5 in New York, NY. This year’s run of the three-day Sasquatch! Festival is coming up this Memorial Day weekend with headline performances by Kings of Leon, Jane’s Addition, Nine Inch Nails and Ben Harper from May 23-25 at Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA.

Memorial Day weekend will also be a big one for fans of American auto racing. The long-awaited and prestigious Indianapolis 500 will hit the pavement for its 93rd event on Sunday afternoon, May 24, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, IN.
