Last chance for NBA Conference Finals, Chickenfoot tickets

The top four professional basketball teams will continue their head-to-head battles through the weekend for the NBA Conference Finals. In the Eastern Conference, the Orlando Magic lead the Cleveland Caraliers 2-1. Game 4 hits the court tonight (May 26) at Amway Arena in Orlando, FL, and Game 5 follows on May 28 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH. If necessary, the conference finals will continue on May 30 and June 1. Meanwhile in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers are tied 2-2 going into Game 5 on May 27 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The supergroup Chickenfoot has just three shows left on its inaugural tour of North America. The brief spring trek concludes May 29 at Theatre of the Living Arts in Philadelphia, PA, and breaks for a month before continuing overseas through the summer. Chickenfoot is expected to hit larger venues on a second North American tour leg this fall.

Film fanatics have a few chances to see their silver screen heroes up close and in person this weekend. Harry Shearer, Christopher Guest and Michael McKean have four shows left on their Spinal Tap: Unwigged and Unplugged tour of North America, which is booked through May 31 at Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, WI. Meanwhile, the annual MTV Movie Awards ceremony is also booked for May 31 at Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA.

In other tour ticketing news, Ben Harper & The Relentless7 are wrapping their national tour dates this week with just two more shows on May 27 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA, and on May 28 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA. The band is scheduled for a festival set on June 11 at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN. English rock group Keane is also closing the book on its spring North American tour with a final gig on May 27 at Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY.

The sports world is keeping a close eye on the ice as well as the courts this weekend. The NHL Finals will likely close out before the weekend. In the Eastern Conference, the Pittsburgh Penguins lead 3-0 in their series against Carolina Hurricanes with the next game on May 26 at RBC Center in Raleigh, NC. If necessary, Games 5-7 are scheduled for May 29, May 31 and June 2, interchanging between RBC Center and Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. In the Western Conference, the Detroit Red Wings lead the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1, with Game 5 lined up for May 27 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI.
