Last chance for Fleetwood Mac, Bon Jovi tickets

Classic rock veterans Fleetwood Mac are closing down the North American leg of their 2009 Unleashed Tour. The final two performances will hit Canadian stages on June 23 at Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary, AB, and June 24 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, AB. The acclaimed group of musicians will be back on the road this fall with a fresh round of tour dates across mainland Europe and the UK.

Milwaukee’s famous 11-day Summerfest will get under way this week, beginning with the opening ceremonies on June 25. The first week’s headliners are big ones with Bon Jovi christening this year’s main stage at Marcus Amphitheatre on June 25. The arena rock heroes will be followed through the weekend by Keith Urban and special guest Counting Crows on June 26, KISS on June 27, Stevie Wonder and John Legend on June 28, and George Strait on June 29. Summerfest continues through July 5, but Bon Jovi will be off the road after completing a June 27 concert at Magnetic Hill in Moncton, NB.

Internationally acclaimed violinist Andre Rieu has a few final performances in the U.S. lined up through this week. His next North American stop is tonight (June 23) at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, AZ, followed by concerts on June 24 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV, and a tour-closing gig on June 25 at Usana Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, UT. Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne is also ending his national tour this week, though his European venture continues through early August. His last U.S. dates are set for June 23 at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, OR; June 24 at Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA; and June 26 at Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA.

North of the border, Megadeth and Slayer are wrapping their brief Canadian Carnage co-headline itinerary. Four shows are booked over the weekend, from the next performance on June 24 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC, through the tour close-out on June 29 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Taking Back Sunday has five more solo dates lined up for the Northeast this week, continuing with a concert tonight (June 23) at Kool Haus in Toronto, ON. The last date on this headline venture hits this weekend on June 27 at the House of Blues in Boston, MA. Singer-songwriter Ben Kweller‘s current tour is also winding down with four final shows booked from June 24 at White Rabbit in San Antonio, TX, through June 27 at Emo’s in Austin, TX.
