So You Think You Can Dance, NFL tickets on sale this week
Tickets to for the upcoming national tour from So You Think You Can Dance as well as tickets for the upcoming NCAA and NFL football seasons are on sale throughout the week ending July 25 as compiled by Ticket News.
This week’s onsales start off with tickets to catch Alan Jackson in concert. Going on sale Wednesday morning, the tickets mark a chance to see the country crooner in concert in Ontario. Rockers The Fray also have tickets among the Wednesday onsales, with a show in Kingston, RI on sale. Rounding out the Wednesday onsales are tickets to see Brand New in concert in New York.
The onsales continue on Friday with tickets to see alternative rockers Arctic Monkeys in concert in Philadelphia as well as tickets to see The Black Crowes on stage in Florida. The Friday onsales also offer a chance to catch actor/musician Jamie Foxx in concert in Charlotte, NC. On sale beginning Saturday are tickets to the upcoming tour of the Fox reality dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance.” Among the tour stops on sale Saturday are Toronto, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, and Houston.
Saturday also marks a chance to snag tickets to the upcoming yearly Farm Aid concert in Missouri. Started by music legend Willie Nelson, the concert brings together some of music’s greatest artists to help raise money to support U.S. farmers. Finally, this week offers a chance to get tickets for both the upcoming NCAA and NFL football seasons. Tickets go on sale Thursday to catch the University of Illinois 2009 football season, while tickets for University of Miami season are on sale Saturday morning. Both the San Francisco 49ers and the Miami Dolphins have tickets for their 2009 home season on sale Saturday as well.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
