Chicago, Doobie Brothers tour rolls out co-headlining dates for summer 2010
For yet another summer, classic rock staples Chicago and the Doobie Brothers will co-headline a tour of the United States.
Both bands will complete a 25-date circuit across the country, beginning June 15 at Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, AZ. The schedule currently wraps up with a July 22 show at the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, IN.
Other performances booked for Chicago and the Doobie Brothers include June 25 at the Superpages.com Center in Dallas, TX; July 6 at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA; and a July 16-17 stand at Charter One Pavilion in Chicago, IL.
Dates for the summer 2010 venture have been confirmed on the official Doobie Brothers Web site, but onsale and ticket pricing information has not yet been announced for the tour.
In addition to their confirmed co-headlining shows, both bands will headline separate concert dates in 2010. Doobie Brothers have nearly a dozen gigs on their calendar from January through May before they join up with Chicago for the summer run. Meanwhile, Chicago has inked its own early 2010 tour plans, beginning with a run of shows in the Philippines and Japan, and followed by a U.S. tour from March through May.
This is the most recent joint-tour for Chicago and the Doobie Brothers, who last hit the road together in early summer 2008. That summer, the two bands shared the stage over the course of about four weeks and more than 20 performances.
In 2009, Chicago co-headlined a summer tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. That was the first tour for those groups since the 2004-2005 concert season.
