Brad Paisley tour far from ‘freezing over’ with new 2011 concert plans
Country musician Brad Paisley has become a staple on the North American concert circuit, touring regularly year in and year out. Now the road dog has announced plans to continue his current H2O World Tour under a new name for a fresh slate of 2011 dates.
Appropriately reworked as the H2O Frozen Over Tour, the winter jaunt kicks off January 20 at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI. The 16-date U.S. and Canadian itinerary will wrap a month later on February 26 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.
Other stops on the one-month venture include January 22 at Roberts Stadium in Evansville, IN; February 11 at BJCC Arena in Birmingham, AL; and February 24 at Amway Center in Orlando, FL. Events inked for Canada are January 27 at John Labatt Centre in London, ON; January 28 at Coops Coliseum in Hamilton, ON; January 29 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC; and January 30 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, ON.
Public onsale dates have not been announced for the final leg of the “Frozen” venture, though Darius Rucker and Jerrod Niemann have been confirmed as openers. More details will be announced as available on Paisley’s official Web site.
Paisley has five more national dates left to complete on the current H2O World Tour itinerary — booked from November 12 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, through November 20 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK. The brief November jaunt follows a similarly brief six-date tour extension in early October that wrapped after a free October 17 concert at Gulf Shores Beach in Alabama.
The H2O World Tour launched in May, and its first leg stretched across the summer and through the end of September. The second leg — comprised of the few October and November gigs — are the final to bear the original “H2O” moniker before the new “Frozen” title takes over in early 2011.
Paisley’s 2010 tour has played to more than 750,000 total attendees in the 75+ cities it has visited so far, according to the artist’s press statements. This year’s lengthy itinerary also featured numerous sold-out performances, including a recent run of four Canadian sell-outs in early October.
