Metallica, Il Volo tickets on sale throughout the weekend

Tickets to upcoming concerts from Il Volo are among the onsales for the weekend ending May 28 as compiled by TicketNews®.

The Memorial Day weekend begins with tickets to two upcoming concerts from Il Volo in Atlantic City, NJ. Set for September 1 and 2, the concerts will be held at the Borgata Casino. The group of male opera pop singers has been making the international rounds, promoting their recently released international debut album “Il Volo.”

Among the onsales for Saturday, May 26, are tickets to the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. The annual awards show bestows awards in various entertainment categories, with the winners chosen by teenagers. This year’s show is set to take place on July 22.

Also among the Saturday onsales are tickets to a joint concert from Chicago and The Doobie Brothers. The two extremely successful rock bands are teaming up for a 2012 tour. Their August 4 concert in Atlantic City is on sale this weekend.

Among the onsales for Friday, May 25, are tickets to Metallica’s upcoming August 24 concert in Vancouver, BC. The band released their most recent album, “LuLu,” in the fall of 2011 and is currently writing songs for their next album, although no release date or additional information is currently available.

On Thursday, May 24, a set of upcoming concert dates for Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour went on sale. The upcoming concert dates range from September through December, and include stops in Orlando, FL; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; Hartford, CT; Memphis, TN; and Nashville, TN.

Finally, tickets go on sale this weekend for comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s upcoming stand-up performance in Austin, TX. Set for July 14, the massively popular comedian, who has shied away from major television and film roles, has managed to keep up a fairly regular stand-up touring schedule since the end of his massively popular television series, “Seinfeld,” in 1998.
