Rush, One Direction tickets on sale throughout the weekend
Tickets to the upcoming tour from the U.K. sensation One Direction are among the onsales for the weekend ending May 7 as compiled by TicketNews®.
The British boy band, which was assembled to compete on the 2010 U.K. season of “The X Factor,” has already conquered the U.K. charts and is quickly taking the U.S. by storm. Concert dates to the band’s 2013 tour have already sold out in multiple cities, and this weekend’s new dates are expected to replicate those early sales. Cities with concerts on sale this weekend include Chicago, IL; San Jose, CA; Philadelphia, PA; East Rutherford, NJ; and Louisville, KY.
Continuing the weekend’s onsales are tickets to several upcoming concert stops from Rush. The Canadian rockers, who have been playing together for over 40 years, have been one of the more successful bands of the last half century. Dates on sale this weekend include shows in Pittsburgh, PA; Minneapolis, MN; Dallas, TX; St. Louis, MO; and San Antonio, TX.
The next artist with concerts on sale this weekend is former Disney star Demi Lovato. The former television star turned recording artist has released three albums in her career, with her most recent release peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 200. While Lovato has made headlines in recent months for her personal struggles rather than her music, she still possesses a strong fan base that will be thrilled to see her back out on tour. Dates on sale include stops in Boston, MA; Bakersfield, CA; and Las Vegas, NV.
Finally, tickets are on sale this weekend for the upcoming UFC 148 fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV. Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber will meet in the Bantamweight Championship bout, while Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen will meet for the Middleweight Championship bout. In addition to the scheduled fights, the UFC Fan Expo is also scheduled to take place over the fight weekend at the MGM Grand. The fight is scheduled for July 7, 2012.
