Glendale’s Desert Diamond Arena to Undergo $42M Renovation
Glendale, Arizona’s Desert Diamond Arena will be transformed with $42 million worth of renovations, becoming a “music mecca” for the state upon its reopening in spring 2025.
ASM Global is spearheading the remodel with the UK’s Forward Associates and the design firm HOK. The renovations will include 25 redesigned spaces, which is a part of an effort to elevate not only the venue, but its surrounding 250-acre complex. This includes enhanced facilities and guest accommodations, as well as construction on immersive fan experiences like a street-inspired Floor Bar.
Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps said that the renovation “is a transformative investment, solidifying Glendale as a premier entertainment destination in the Southwest.”
“With state-of-the-art amenities, re-imagined suites and expanded programming on par with the newest venues nationwide, we’re delivering unforgettable experiences that drive economic growth, attract top-tier events and fuel local businesses,” Phelps said, noting that the entertainment district is home to nearly 4,000 hotel rooms.
ASM Global Executive Vice President of Arenas, Stadiums, and Theaters, Doug Thornton, said in a statement that the transformation celebrates the venue’s “two decades at the heart of Glendale’s thriving entertainment landscape while creating a destination that can draw audiences from across the region and beyond.”
“The new and improved arena will deliver a first-class experience for every guest, from general admission attendees to premium club members,” Thornton said.
