AEG Announces Realignment of Its International Operations

Sports and live entertainment powerhouse AEG has unveiled a new management structure aimed at fueling its international growth in key markets across Europe and Asia-Pacific. In a press release issued earlier this week, AEG detailed the expanded leadership roles for two seasoned executives, Adam Wilkes and Alex Hill, who will assume their new positions on February 1.

Wilkes to Oversee Europe and Asia-Pacific
Adam Wilkes has been named President and CEO of AEG Presents, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The longtime AEG executive, who has led the company’s growth in Asia since joining in 2011, will relocate from Singapore to London later this year. In his new role, he will manage AEG Presents’ operations across both regions and report directly to AEG Presents Chairman and CEO Jay Marciano.

“Adam’s track record in building markets, coupled with his strategic vision and operational expertise, makes him the ideal leader to drive AEG Presents’ international expansion in Europe,” said Marciano.

Wilkes has been credited with establishing a solid presence for AEG in the Asia-Pacific region, highlighted by ventures such as Bangkok’s UOB Live and Nagoya’s forthcoming IG Arena.

Hill to Lead Global Real Estate and Venue Operations
Alex Hill will step into the position of President and CEO, AEG International, reporting to AEG President and CEO Dan Beckerman. Hill will continue to be based in London and oversee AEG’s European sports teams, real estate holdings (including The O2 in London), and German venues. He also assumes responsibility for the company’s new venue developments outside of the U.S., including UOB Live and IG Arena.

“We have tremendous confidence in Adam and Alex, both of whom are seasoned strategic leaders with proven track records,” Beckerman said. “Their understanding of our customers and markets…will position them to continue driving AEG’s international growth.”

Streamlined Structure for Global Growth
AEG’s realignment is aimed at maximizing its foothold in major international markets while boosting collaboration between its concert promotion, venue, and real estate divisions. The realignment mirrors the continued boom in global live entertainment and positions the company to capitalize on new opportunities for artists, partners, and fans.

“This new management structure aligns our international organization with our corporate business and allows us to better focus our resources,” Beckerman added, emphasizing that the change positions AEG for “ambitious strategic growth initiatives around the globe.”

Both Wilkes and Hill begin their new roles on February 1, 2025.
