Broadway’s ‘Cabaret’ Welcomes Orville Peck, Eva Noblezada as New Leads

Broadway’s revival of “Cabaret” is getting ready to welcome two new cast members to its stage.

Starting March 31, Orville Peck will step into the role of the Emcee, taking over for Adam Lambert. Meanwhile, Tony Award-nominee Eva Noblezada will join the cast as Sally Bowles, taking over the role from Auliʻi Cravalho.

Peck and Noblezada will stay with the production at the August Wilson Theatre until July 20, following the departure of Lambert and Cravalho on March 29.

For Peck, taking on the role of the Emcee has long been a dream. When reflecting on his journey, Peck expressed how his early years in theater shaped his artistry.

“The Emcee has been my dream role since I was a teenager…,” Peck said in a statement. “It feels very full circle to be making a return to it at this point in my career.”

After concluding her run as Daisy Buchanan in the new Broadway adaptation of “The Great Gatsby,” Noblezada will step into a role that has always interested her.

“While studying musical theater in school, ‘Cabaret’ always stood out,” Noblezada said. “I was, and am, amazed by the lineage of theater royalty who have been in the show. And Sally Bowles to me is simply…fascinating.”

Peck and Noblezada are joining other cast members Calvin Leon Smith as Clifford Bradshaw, Bebe Neuwirth as Fraulein Schneider, and Steven Skybell as Herr Schultz.
