Bob Seger tour unveils more 2011 concert dates, weekend onsales

The concert date roll-out continues for Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. The American rock icons now have a spring schedule bearing 17 dates in the United States and Canada through mid-May.

Seger’s calendar opens March 26 at The Huntington Center in Toledo, OH — a date added last month after the original March 31 concert sold out at the venue. But along with the more recently expanded slate of shows, a new end-date has been introduced on May 14 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL.

Some of the other new dates on Seger’s itinerary include April 15 at TD Garden in Boston, MA; April 23 at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC; and April 30 at Toyota Center in Houston, TX. The sole concert for Canada is still April 12 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON.

Public onsales for the newer concert dates begin March 5 in most markets, except Little Rock (March 12) and Rosemont (March 19). As usual, ticket prices for the tour vary depending on the market, but most pre-fee face values are within the range of $60 to $80.

Seger’s first tour since the successful 2006-2007 Face the Promise Tour has fared well at the box office since its first onsales opened in mid-to-late February.

Ticket sales for the Detroit-based rocker have earned him several prominent spots on TicketNews’ exclusive event rankings in recent weeks. And five of his upcoming spring concerts have sold out entirely, according to Seger’s official Web site.
